I am sitting at my desk with a glass of cold water nearby. My doctor tells me to “stay hydrated,” and I’m on it. But did you know that nearly 800 million people have little or no access to clean drinking water? This is especially true in very poor countries like Haiti. My granddaughter, Morgan Bryant, has made many trips to Haiti to teach villagers how a simple home water filter can give them the drinking water they need.

A senior at the University of South Carolina, Morgan devotes her fall, Christmas, and spring breaks to Haiti visits to help these poorest of the poor. Her long-term plans are to attend law school and become a human rights lawyer focused on stopping human trafficking.

But her first stop, maybe for a couple of years, is Filter of Hope and managing teams of university and college kids who volunteer to serve this vital ministry.

Would you like to help Morgan? If so, you can send a check to me, payable to Filter of Hope. I’m building a fund to support Morgan in her ministry over the next couple of years.  Each filter costs $40. I’d like to buy a thousand or more over the next couple of years and send them to Haiti with Morgan and her teams. Getting clean water to very poor people is important to me. Morgan has committed herself to be the legs and heart to make this happen.  Will you help Morgan and me? If so, send your tax-deductible check, payable to Filter of Hope, to:
